Career Path:           

The Vice President, Sales and Client Experience will assume responsibility for the sales function at The Nebo Company. The position may evolve to a more senior sales title or may expand over time to include client experience/delivery of services, depending on the strengths and aptitudes of the vice president and Nebo’s evolving needs.

Primary Purpose(s):


The Vice President of Sales and Client Experience oversees sales of Nebo’s services.  The VP of Sales and Client Experience is responsible for growing the business through sales to existing clients as well as new clients and new markets. This change leader will be a member of the Leadership Team as an architect of Nebo’s approach to growth and scalability with a focus on sales and business development.


The role is defined below:

  • Develop and execute sales strategy in keeping with Nebo brand and business goals
  • Lead sales teams and sales operations
  • Design, develop and execute sales campaigns and other firmwide sales and business development initiatives
  • Identify and implement new ways of growing the business, eg. online growth and new markets


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure robust, high-probability pipeline of business
  • Grow existing accounts, working as a partner with account leads
  • Establish competitive, profitable pricing strategy for each line of services
  • Lead sales forecasting and planning
  • Participate in communications and marketing activities that raise visibility and drive sales
  • Contribute to the design and organizational evolution to support growth of sales and market presence
  • Analysis of sales results and competitive landscape, including historical results, changing market needs and conditions
  • Increase the number of qualified leads
  • Help establish multi-service, multi-year “core accounts” in selected industries
  • Track and report on trends and competitive market analysis
  • Contribute to tech-enabled client relationships and services
  • Supervise Sales Operations, including lead generation and assignment
  • Oversee sales software resources including, but not limited to: Salesforce and Proposify
  • Lead Nebo Sales Team and attend practice group team meetings to guide, mentor and support effective sales work
  • Mentor VPs and Directors with responsibility for sales; provide supervision and guidance in this aspect of their work
  • Provide leverage to sales leaders in support of proposals, etc. to ensure timely proposals that win business
  • Steward of high-quality sales and marketing materials used to support sales
  • Define and lead sales campaigns that generate more business
  • Oversees sales leaders in developing account and practice strategies that leverage existing accounts and open the doors to new clients
  • Identify best opportunities for sales campaigns and design, run and manage results of campaigns
  • Contributes to development of marketing strategies and works in tandem with Communications to execute on marketing initiatives
  • Target and segment market opportunities to bring in new business


Education/Training:

  • MA or MBA preferred


Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in leading sales/business development in a professional services firm, demonstrating excellent achievement against goals
  • Has managed a high performing professional services sales team
  • Has designed and executed sales campaigns and content marketing
  • Motivated by mission and impact


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Data-driven sales leader
  • Salesforce
  • Proposify or other proposal software
  • Superb communication skills – verbal and written
  • Skilled at navigating complexity within accounts and organizations
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Committed to follow through and attentive to details
  • Ability to target and segment market opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial spirit – not afraid to roll up the sleeves!


Objectives:

  • Lead Sales function to achieve annual sales and revenue targets

 

Salary & Compensation:

  • Base salary of $150,000 - $170,000 with 20% bonus potential based on achievement of firm and individual goals
